About

HAN & WOLF

Central Asian knowledge
with an international reach.

HAN & WOLF exists because the two halves of a cross-border transaction are usually handled by people who never speak to each other. The goods are one firm's problem, the money is another's, and the gap between them is where transactions stall.

We work on both at once: the commodity and the commercial terms, and the settlement that has to carry them. With our own software underneath, and a person who knows the file.

Han Eurasia Resources Ltd.

Regional trade and logistics

Physical commodity trading across Kazakhstan and Central Asia, with the sourcing relationships, the inspection practice and the rail, sea and multimodal routing that moving material out of the region actually requires.

The region is the point.

Kazakhstan and Central Asia produce materials the rest of the world needs, and sit on the overland routes between Europe and Asia. The commercial opportunity is obvious; the practical questions are where buyers get stuck.

Knowing who actually produces what, how a cargo leaves, which documents a counterparty's bank will accept and how the money can come back is local knowledge. It is the part that cannot be researched from a distance, and it is why we work from both ends.

How we work

What the first conversation covers, who does what, and what we would be responsible for.

Compliance

What verification asks for, why, and which entity is answerable for which part.

Compliance

Ask us anything about the business.

Who we are, what we have done before, or how a particular kind of transaction would work. We would rather answer the question than send a brochure.
